有記者問，上周美國農業數據顯示中國取消了從美國進口的豬肉，中國是否會繼續取消或購買美國的豬肉?如果不從美國買會從哪買?
高峰指出，中國對于豬肉的進口，除了需要符合有關檢驗檢疫的要求以外，沒有任何的限制或管理措施，企業可以根據市場的供需、價格、質量等情況，自主經營，自由貿易。根據中國海關的統計，中國豬肉進口主要來自德國、西班牙、美國、加拿大、丹麥、巴西、荷蘭、法國等15個國家。
高峰介紹，自2018年下半年以來，受到國內生豬存欄和豬肉產量下降的影響，中國的肉類進口呈現了增長的態勢，2019年1季度豬、牛、雞、羊肉等肉類進口總量是111.2萬噸，同比增長了11.6%。預計后期我國肉類進口將進一步增加。
高峰稱，美國是中國豬肉進口的主要來源地之一。是否購買美國豬肉，是企業自主的市場行為。
據中方了解，受到近期經貿摩擦升級的影響，國內企業對美國市場的預期不穩，必然干擾正常的經營活動。
